About Monika´s photography

Thank you for stopping by. My name is Monika and I am a professional freelance photographer based in Vancouver and occasionally in Europe. I have extensive experience working on wedding, family, corporate and private events, where I have been able to show my unique approach to creative photography. Photography has been both my passion and my hobby from an early age when I was exposed to this form of art through my father’s video production studio in Prague. I have spent much time refining and developing my personal style and enjoy every step of it. It has truly become my passion.

Personal story

I was born and raised in Czech Republic. After graduating from university in 2011 I decided to explore a different part of our beautiful world. Based on the exciting stories I’d heard, I decided to travel to Vancouver in Canada and I fell in love with that gorgeous part of Earth!

One of the reasons why I feel lucky to live here in British Columbia is the epic nature which allows me to do hiking year-round and snowboarding/skiing in winter. I also love to spend time jogging around Stanley Park and observing the birds and nature.

I have spent most of my life exploring the field of photography and it has truly become my passion. I believe photography is not just about the knowledge of your camera and lights but also about vision and our feelings.

I will guide you to the right position if necessary but I also love to be invisible for you, so that you can have a great time with your loved ones uninterrupted and I can catch honest, truthful moments.
